well you would need to start off very small. go to bank and apply for SBI loan and make sure you find an adequate space for rent in a semi-good location. It will be difficult but as you go along, you will meet many people and make better connections to expand. take it one step at a time. First apply for the SBI Loan, find a fairly priced (according to your budget) location. actually you should consider finding out a place that has been government mandated due to foreclosure and you could land a very very good deal on a previous foreclosed home or warehouse or lot. check those out if you are a little low on cash.

try get some support from local government bodies - stress that the gym will help keep kids off streets and out of trouble while learning some discipline and getting fit.

    also if I may add,
you may want to first lease your equipment and make sure you get some insurance for it. I wouldnt go all out on used sites and buy equipment. You never know what will happen. If things are really tight then that should be your last resort. Obviously other people's health's are important when opening up a gym that includes boxing instruction etc.. you want to make sure you are insured.

I think you should buy a ring. Just for safety reasons and insurance reasons. People are not how they used to be in the old days. Everyone is looking to make an easy buck. If you build anything on your own and have others use it you are initially taking a huge risk. You should definitely buy a ring, even a used one if money permits from a reputable company. Do a simple search online. Make sure the company knows about it. I'm just telling you all of this for your sake and that you dont have to worry in the future if something goes wrong, you can send it to the company and have them check it repair it etc etc. Unfortunately worrying about other people's health's is a huge concern nowadays and especially if you are going to train kids and younger boxers

to market your business put up signs in your neighborhood or community about a proposed boxing centre and perhaps you could make flyers and maybe business cards and you could even make a free website to start off with then maybe you could get a domain and perhaps an ad in your local phonebook etc etc

Once you got your set up and your ready to deliver, one word

    Promotion.

Promote, promote promote. That means friends, family, message boards, paper adds, internet, and dont be afraid to over do it. Your gym can only hold 10 people at the same time? Promote for a 1000. Once you got the gym, you need to make yourself known at an insane level.

And it dosen't have to cost you a lot. Just put papers everywhere, spread the word and just keep promoting until your gym is PACKED 24/7. And if at some point it unpacks, you know what to do again. Promotion!

I know that the only reason I went to the real first gym I went to was because I was looking online and found a nice website that had a lot of good info on it. I don't know why someone wouldn't get a website for a business nowadays considering that's how nearly everyone gets information.

your gym will mean nothing unless you have well educated trainers. so before you start putting your gym together i would first put your team together.
