I have heard recently of some well known trainers talk about training with emphasis on improving "starting strength." Means to do this would be racking the bar after every rep on squats, stopping and resetting self on deadlifts, and so forth. These are for heavy reps of 2-4, nothing higher. Could someone such as scrap, Lefty, maybe explain the science or theory behind this and if their is merit to it. I asked this question before under my other screen name VonLPC(lost password) with little interest. Hopefully somebody has an answer. Thanks.
