Also, a lot of people who starts when they are 10 or 12 are finished after five six years, finding other things to do. They sort of starts to early.
larry holmes was another late starter and one of the best heavies ever.21 isn't too old.a lad has just started at our gym at 25 and has loads of enthusiasm for the sport. good luck
Well I started at a boxing club on Tuesday, then trained again there on Thursday. I loved it, really good club and I love the intensity of it all! I'm taking it dead serious, I just want to do all I can to improve. I'm training in the senior academy classes, which are for beginners who want to train up to compete. Okay, so right now I'm only going to be training Tuesdays and Thursdays, but I'm guessing I'll need to be doing a hell of a lot more than just two two hour classes a week if I want to get anywhere. I take it I'll have to be training in my own time as well, which I really want to do, I just won't rush into it. I want to ease myself in so I can build up knowledge and create myself a program in time. Firstly I want to sort out my nutrition intake, because right now it's appalling. I've booked to see a sports nutritionist, which is going to cost me £150 for the session and a follow up session. I know it's extravagant, and I don't have money to throw away at all, but I don't see any other way. My food intake has always been an issue of mine, I lack knowledge and I can barely cook, so I really do need help to get a spot on meal plan going. So yeah, once I get my nutrition and stuff all sorted, I'll start thinking about a training plan outside of class. I'm so glad I've finally started training!
Tony THompson started at 29!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and he only ever got stopped by wladimer klitschko, also knockd out david price twice a much younger and dangerous opponent, age doesnt always mean everything, you can get far in the sport. Only You can believe in yourself, forget your family and other peoples opinions.
