Whole card was shown on local tv station and it was live, not in delay. For those who care about Senchenko as 147 titleholder and possible opponent for wide known boxers: I was watching that fight and Senchenko looked as always so-so, nothing special, most of the time stupidly trading in the center of the ring and getting too much not necessary trouble.

No wonder they declined Alvarez fight. Saul would beat him badly, very badly. Mostly because el Canelo is bad finisher :)

    Both WBA.

Senchenko made his third defense as welterweight champ. (sharing broken lineage with Cotto, Quartey, Curry, Hearns, Napoles and Leonard...)

Balzsay took the super middleweight belt (formerly Kessler's for two reigns). It's the same one that Magee and Barboza competed for in their stinker a month ago, strangely enough. :huh I guess Magee then vacated? Or maybe the WBA stripped him for sullying their sterling reputation with that boring crap. :yep

It was WBA regular title that Sartison left vacant.

    ...and Griffith.

    :-(

It's crazy that Senchenko is part of that same great chain, immortalized alongside all those guys. Beyond insane in the Ukraine.

A little wide and slappy and carried away with excess movement at times, but fast and busily aggressive. Some good work to the body.

It ws very entertaining. A rematch would be both very appropriate and very welcomed.

BTW, it was Smoger reffing Senchenko vs. Avendano. So even if Senchenko struggled, it's almost certain he wouldn't have benefited from a bogus or premature stoppage.

Smoger...Buffer...outdoor football stadium...they really spent a lot of cash on this. :think Was this like the most heavily promoted Ukrainian boxing event in years?

I finally got to see rounds 10 & 11 of Balzsay vs. Kashtanov.

    Round 10

Kashtanov pounds the guard with his right hand. Balzsay is giving him plenty of openings with a predictable right jab delivered at the same pace and in the same spot at the same plane over and over. Kashtanov is slamming him with rights to the face. Balzsay is landing some lone lefts as Kashtanov lingers too long in the pocket but Kashtanov is scoring both more often and more cleanly with the right. Balzsay stands in and misses his jab, but lands some lead lefts on the taller man. Kashtanov has slowed down, and circles Balzsay while getting picked off with the southpaw 1-2 penetrating just between his thumbs. Hard combo to the body by Kashtanov, scoring.

    10-9 Kashtanov

Both ate some mean straights, but Kashtanov's right won out over Balzsay's left in summation.

Freddie Roach in the corner asks for a hook to the head after the hook to the body from Kashtanov. Roach is saying "You're hitting him at will to the body; there's more there. Go for it..."

    Round 11

Busy jabbing by Kashtanov as he circles. Balzsay lances out with his 1-2 but gets mostly blocked and then cracked with a right to the face. Balzsay is really pushing hard, throwing hard lead lefts. Kashtanov is caught with a left but times the opening to land a VERY stiff jab at the same time. Balzsay staggered by the jab!! He manages to stay upright after teetering precariously on a bent knee. Kashtanov keeps hooking away to the body but isn't able to follow Roach's advice as Balzsay is removing himself from the danger zone after getting hit and not leaving the head as a target. Kashtanov is jabbing him in the face from outside. Balzsay stands pat and moves his arms around, watching. Slapping combo by Balzsay, hitting arms. Balzsay throws a hard overhand left and scores just as Kashtanov drills him again with a stiff jab to the face that knocks him back a step. Kashtanov pecks away with jabs and rights from the outside while ducking Balzsay's right jab. Body combo by Kashtanov before stepping off to the siide. Really nice digs to the body by Kashtanov. Balzsay tries to catch him on the way in or out but is just a tad slow.

    10-9 Kashtanov

It was as I thought. Kashtanov kept his momentum from the 8th and 9th unbroken all the way to the 12th. Balzsay's last clear round was the 7th.

So my final score was 116-112 for the guy who lost. :conf

BTW, the promoter (Union Boxing) still hasn't uploaded the Senchenko vs. Avendano championship main event on their Youtube channel but have put up Yefimovich vs. Palma from the undercard. :huh

So far Karapuz seems to be the only poster to have seen it.
