    Berto is my favourite fighter but i cant even defend his losses like you just did
    The fact is Berto believed his hype more than anyone else after Karass stopped him his confidence and belief is gonna be shot but thats good so he actually boxes properly and takes fights seriously

    the facts are the facts. if a fighter gets thumbed in the eye and that contributes to his loss, I'm not gonna say "he lost and that's all there is to it, forget the eye"...that's kinda stupid. There's a REASON he lost, and it's because he got thumbed in the first round and fought the next 11 rounds as a one-eyed fighter. Same thing when a ref lets one guy hit and hold then penalizes the other guy for doing the same thing...or when a fighter gets a separated shoulder in the ring. or when a fighter is inactive for 14 months then comes in a welterweight fight with an opponent who weighs 170 on fight night. Those are the particular facts surrounding the fight. To ignore the facts and say they don't matter, well, they should matter. it's like saying hopkins got ko'd by chad dawson in the first fight and the injury to his shoulder was just an "excuse."

    Berto needs to just stay away from these Mexicans . They're his kryptonite .

    Well it was evident he injured his shoulder around the 2nd or 3rd round of that Soto-Karass fight- well before he slipped and looked like he further exacerbated his injury.

    Around the 3rd round, I noticed he was shaking his right arm, almost as if he was trying to pop his arm back into place. He fought very courageously for the remainder of the fight considering he was limited to one hand.

    I give him a pass for his last fight because of the injury he attained early on. He should've taken on a tune-up fight rather than go after a pressure fighter in Soto Karass, who has looked very good his last few fights. If he can get fully healthy again, I'd like to see what he has left in the tank. He's a very entertaining fighter to watch and I'm sure he can get some big fights down the road as long as he takes a tune-up fight or 2 and starts to regain confidence in his abilities again. The handspeed is definitely still there and he has a big heart.

    I like watching Berto, but he just isn't an "elite" welterweight anymore (or maybe he never was?)

    He will have a VERY hard time getting big fights now, what he is at this point is a guy to beat to prove yourself ready for a big time fight, a "gate keeper." Nothing wrong with it if it gets him a couple okay paydays, but then he should probably hang em up

    berto has knocked out a sh8tload of mexicans. so you make no sense...and he woulda knocked out or beat all them mexicans he lost to except for some bad luck.
