So you're saying that when you're 20 year old fighting bums every month that's comparable to being 34 and fighting two title fights in 8 weeks, the second one being against one of the toughest tests of his career?

Also, just because you believe that Haye is one of the toughest tests of Wlad's career... doesn't mean Wlad does. Plenty of people don't, including myself.

Did Vitali sit down with Kevin Johnson and say you know what son I'm going to fight you in December I'll fight Arreola first?

Or did he do it the proper way, discussed a fight with Arreola. Beat Arreola then thought you know what, I've suffered no injuries I feel great I can go again in 8 weeks?

You were just pushing so hard to prove that Wlad is too old and simply can't have two fights that close together. I prove to you that his brother who is 5 years older and is one of the most injury riddled heavyweights in the world just did it without skipping a beat. So now you turn to this?

In april, we will see who is the best of the two, were hayes is now found a new reason to duck wlad, i guess you can call that a late xmas gift from wlad.

You just don't get it do you? Vitali was in a position to fight Johnson because he fought Arreola and was fine afterwards. He never organised the Johnson fight before Arreola. Why? Because it's a ****ing dumb thing to do.

The fact is the closest Wlad has fought in two consecutive fights in the last 7 years is 5 months.

 

That a very premature statement ... Haye did not prove anything exceptional
at HW yet to be called the toughest from the previous Wlad's opponents.

IMO Peter I was the toughest in terms of pre fight considerations.

guys get real, wlad has one fight left on his contract, haye has one fight left on his sauerland option, after that they can make more money, and money is the only thing both care for. so i bet this fight will happen till august.

 

I agree, wlad should of told hayes he wants a april fight, an if hayes wants to fight in july no problem, why the surprise,,,,But i agree with wlad having a fight in april, an when i first heard wlad was to fight in june agains hayes, the first thing i thought was what hayes did in 2009. It is about money, an i think hayes uses that as a factor in these mid-year fights with wlad.

 

Of course, but the couple of mils from the Chisora - fight won't take anything away from Haye -purse. And Chisora serves well as sparring partner.

 

You misunderstand the situation. Haye won't fight Wlad because of this tune up. So Wlad is left with the choice of facing Chisora or Haye. Wlad prefers Chisora.

AT THIS POINT IN HIS CAREER, I really think there is no excuse for Wlad not facing Haye DIRECTLY.
