Don't agree with the immediate rematch, Dawson has a right to try and retain his belt, its a contract and I don't think WBC should have gotten involved. When Chad won their belt and paid their sanction fee, he agreed to their terms, now they need to abide by his. WBC ought to honor the contract.

Came across this on the comment section of ESPN

    I agree with this

    Also they gave Hopkins Emeritus

WTF do they jsut hand out these belts its like the WBA Super Champ and how they pass out interims

if Pascal fought the same fight and same result vs like Chris Henry the WBC would not get involved

I like Pascal-Hopkins 2 better than Pascal-Dawson 2 but the WBC is too corrupt for their own good.

They need to follow their rules.

I think if Dawson lets his hands go it will be better than a Hopkins fight whi can make anybody seem boring

Plus Hopkins is only getting older would he be able to repeat that performance

And Hopkins-Pascal was better than Pascal-Dawson. If Sad Chad lets his hands go, I see him getting knocked down or even knocked out.

I dont know he seemed to lose to Pascal only cause he wasnt busy just handed the fight away

the rounds that Dawson actually punched he won

round 11 Dawson put his punches together and almost had him

I think Pascal can beat Hopkins in a rematch Hopkins is too old to get any better Passcal has room to improve

    It's a fair statement.

But contracts aside, Hopkins is far more deserving of the rematch than Dawson. He actually won his fight (unofficially), whereas Dawson had no excuse for his loss. And for the record, I think both Hopkins and Dawson beat Pascal in a rematch.

they should just give dawson sum money say sry bout the contract n the rematch clause. n jst pay him off. tell him pascal v hopkins II needs to happen cuz hopkins dont got much fites left in him. n dawson will have plenty of time to get a rematch. in the meantime go smash the diaconu guy that gave pascal a good fight. if not that u can do sumthin even better for the fans and fight cloud. after that no matter wut happens with pascal get ur revenge on him then.

First of all - WTF are you talking about, Pascal put the WBC belt on the line not Dawson, and Jean retained it by kicking Chad's ass fair and square. Why on Earth would anyone choose that rematch over Hopkins after a controversial yet exciting fight?

On the other hand KARMA IS A BIG FAT *****, and it serves Dawson right who bitched out of the WBC mandatory (Diaconu) even though his own promoter participated in the purse bid - but when Shaw Hi was outbidded by the Romanians, Dawson said 'belts don't make champions' and rather gave up the WBC title to fight 38 year-olds 4 times in a row.

Of course Diaconu picked up the belt then lost to Pascal who remained loyal, so why would the WBC do Dawson any favors who said **** the green belt? Finally something positive dude. Also sanctioning bodies sign no contracts so exactly what the hell the WBC should honor? They just honored Chad for his loyalty.
