Stathi Katsidis found dead ?

    Just heard on the radio the brother of Michael Katsidis, Stathi Katsidis was found dead at his home. I have no other info on this but I am still in shock and upset for Michael and his family.

    I have no idea if the Marquez fight will still take place but if he decided and totally understandable if he wanted to pull out of the bout.

    Yeah, I just commented the same thing on another thread.

    Terrible news, thoughts go out to the Katsidis family.

    Stathi was a great jockey, had turned his life around over the past
    year and was due to ride Shoot Out in the Cox Plate on the weekend.

    what a shock, his only 31 years old. I wonder what exactly he has died from, i suspect a heart attack going off the rumors circulating around Tawoomba about 5 yrs ago.

    Really sad stuff indeed,Stathi was a great jockey however his substance abuse over the years has been well known in racing circles.
    I know he was suspended for riding under the influence but everyone was hoping he could get back on track.

    ****, this will seriously **** up Mick's prep. Hopefully it will spurn him on to do it for Stathi.

    There was a 4 page feature spread in the courier mail on Saturday about Stathi and Mick. He always had lots of trouble keeping the weight off, and used various substances to aid him. Poor bugger.

    Terrible ****en news, poor Harry will be devastated.

    Understandable if Mick does not go through with this.
    One of my biggest wins was on Staffi.
    Thoughts are with the family.

    I got a txt saying it was a suspected drug overdose.

    Prayers and thoughts go out to mick, his family and friends. Very sad news.
