    Scar, for all we know, Pac probably had planned to have surgery for a minor shoulder impediment well before this fight even happened. He could have had this affliction during the Algieri and Bradley fights -- fighters commonly have shoulder surgery at some point in their careers, even for minor injuries. They get through grueling training camps and still win fights with minor shoulder injuries all the time.

    I still believe the Pacquiao team has done everything in its power to tarnish Mayweather's win. They didn't give him any credit, whatsoever. On May 2, Pac fought believing he was going to win. He even went on to vehemently protest the notion that he even lost in the post-fight interview.

    From a purely objective point-of-view, the stats lend credence to the notion that Pac's injury wasn't a major hindrance to him in the Mayweather fight. Pac's team is doing all it can to ensure that he doesn't lose shine as a PPV attraction, following this recent loss to the guy everyone wanted to see him in with.

    Bro, this is what folks have been trying to communicate about fighting Mayweather. Guys are not going to throw high volume if A.) They are hitting air, and B.) They keep getting countered.

    People want to imagine that this so called rotator cuff injury is the reason he didn't throw a bunch of punches...no. It is indeed the Mayweather effect.

    Alex Ariza had some interesting things to say about the supposed shoulder injury of Pacquiao, claiming that if it were a rotator cuff injury, that arm would not be moving at all(and that arm was moving the whole fight). He also went on to say the following in predictive fashion;

    Interestingly enough, it was reported on another site that Pacquaio's surgery took a few hours and the recovery time is 4-6 months(This interview was prior to the surgery). Did Ariza hit the nail on the head? Is Pac's team defrauding the public for another fight and more of the fans money?

    I really don't think that Pacquiao, who's 36 and clearly at the very end of his career with two or three(maximum) fights left, will care much about futuristic PPV events. It's not like he's in Tyson's position when he fought Holyfield in the rematch and literally had a decade ahead of him. Though that point does make sense if Pacquiao is seriously looking to make a rematch. This is his best way to secure it and keep the interest alive.

    As far as the excuses and lack of credit are concerned, I really can't blame him somehow. He pretty much accepted every single demand thrown at him and it was at a record high for a Boxing match. De La Hoya and every fighter in the driver's seat was also brutal towards the fighters that wanted the payday, but to introduce new rules/testing among every other thing(I'm surprised the gloves made it through) is just too much. Only they know how it feels like to be at the end of that contract.

    Nope. Where's this MRI for starters. Wording about this injury has been 'careful' at best.

    Your man got taught a boxing lesson by the best in the game. No shame in that.

    C.J I believe the injury was real, but can you honestly say without bias that those stats don't prove that the injury did not have a noticeable effect on pacquiaos performance?

    So let me get this straight are you saying a torn rotator cuff does not have a effect in a fight at that level?

    How can you honestly say that would of had no impact?

    Would you be up for a rematch between these two? To be honest, even though the first fight was conclusively won, I'd still be interested in seeing them fight again.

    Not sure if the casuals/general public will buy into the same setup they just used though. The masses may not be so quick to drop $100 on the PPV for a second go. A standard PPV fee might work. :think
