Statistically speaking, is Mayweather the boxer most closest to perfection?

His compubox stats are out of this world and really unparalleled by any boxer of recent memory as far as his accuracy goes for offense and the defensive #'s he puts up--i.e. JMM only connecting at around a 14% rate in their fight together when Marquez is arguably one of the most accurate punchers that is actively fighting.

Still, would be nice if compubox existed during the golden eras of boxing in the 30's-60's. Would be great to see the #'s for guys like Armstrong, Pep and the great Ray Robinson.

^^I don't ever remember Floyd ducking Tszyu, in fact i remember him calling out Kosta, Mosley and Casamayor on more than one occasion. For whatever reason, 2 of those fights never materialized but it would've been amazing to see Floyd against Casa at 135 and Kosta at 140.

    Jones foot speed/Reflex/speed/power > Floyd's chin

Sorry but thats a ridiculous post.

Same as saying - Mayweathers foot speed/Reflex/speed/power > Jones chin

Not when youre lining up all attributes. Ok, Floyds chin is better. Roy's everything else is better.

Depends though if you are talking prime for prime

There is little difference in attributes between prime 130 Floyd and prime Jones.

perfection is not waiting for the perfect time to fight older fighters, or handpicking younger guys who are not the top fighters.

P4P I would always take Jones over Floyd.

Okay thats very nice, but not what im saying.

Talking about hand speed, foot speed ect..

If you compare prime Roy vs Mayweather today, Roy is clear winner.

But if you compare both prime for prime, its very close and really difficult to judge as they where both blessed with magnificent physical atributes.

Fair enough, but we are talking individual attributes, not P4P.

    :yep:deal:clap:

Hagler,Duran,Hearns and Leonard are the truly fighters that were closest to perfection cuz they fought each other and didn't cherrypick their opponents. :yep
