Statistically speaking, is Mayweather the boxer most closest to perfection?

I understand your opinion I'm just talking about the rest of the forum where he is underrated.

Boxing is about winning first and foremost. Some fighters find themselves outgunned or on even terms and have to take one to give one or two back. Of course fighters are at their best when they can minimize their own damage and maximize their opponent's.

    :huh

Yep thats right, would have schooled him. The same hearns who ended up getting KO'd. When was the last time you seen Pretty Boy wobbly? Yeah all of you can go **** yourselves with that 'back in the day' bull****.

Yeah I'll never miss a Floyd fight.

Hearns was KO'd by harder punchers and more accomplished fighters than Floyd will ever be, yeah I remember that.

I saw Pretty Boy wobble two fights ago against a lesser boxer-puncher than Hearns.

Floyd is a boxer than Sugar Ray Leonard was, and we all know how that fight against Hearns went.

When Floyd wins a chess match against a natural 147lber as skilled as Benitez, let me know.

I'd say Duran and Robinson were closer to perfection as they had this kind of mean streak to them that set them apart from most. They had the incredible blend of offensive and defensive skills with a different mentality than most to go after a KO. Floyd is more defensive minded and while he's very heavy in the skills category he lacks the kind of killer instinct that guys like Robinson and Duran were praised for. Defensively, Floyd is at the top of the list.

    His defense is remarkable .

    Excellent speed as well .

Hes going to have a problem when hes runs into a fighter who has throws a very high volume of punches and dont gas out like the majority of his opponents did . Floyd is very aware of this .

Also His lack of activity and lack of pop is his weakness IMO .

He has not lost yet because he knows how choose his opponents very carefully . Floyd is a clever fellow lol .

Its pretty much the reason why . Williams/Mayweather , Pacquiao/Mayweather , Margarito/Mayweather never took place . All high volume punchers with never ending gas tanks .

He agreed to fight Margarito in order to fight Oscar right after and Arum turned down the contract.

Yeah , Floyd also said he wants to fight the winner of martinez/Williams.....

Even if he did he said he agreed to fight Margarito , history has proven to us time and time again we cant believe anything that comes out of his mouth . So why start now

No one said anything, he signed on to extend the contract and Arum turned it down stating there wasn't enough money for a margarito and an oscar fight :nut

    ESPN:

Arum said while Mayweather would have taken the $8 million to fight Margarito, he asked for a $10 million guarantee to fight opponents such as Miguel Cotto and Ricky Hatton, when Arum was only willing to guarantee $7 million.

Arum said Mayweather also asked for $20 million to fight De La Hoya, a fight Arum said he wasn't interested in participating in.
"That's not in the cards," Arum said. "He wants $20 million for the De La Hoya fight? It's not there."

Then Floyd goes on to make triple that in almost all these fights
