Well deserved, a true ATG and legend in the sport. There are many other fighters that retired without looking back at the sport that made them popular, DLH is still around helping up and comers and bringing us amazing events. Got to respect that and the many entertaining mega attraction events he was involved in.
Ask most Southern California residents about this statue and most will tell you that he doesn't deserve a statue. At least not at the Staples Center. He did nothing in that arena. Him getting a statue was all about politics and him being the CEO of Golden Boy more than anything else. Maybe 20 years from now he should've gotten one somewhere in East LA but not at the Staples Center next to Magic Johnson. It just doesn't belong there. Staples Center is Laker country.
