I read that he went into the fight with a broken hand (his power hand, of course) but he's so damn awkward, I never know when he's looking poorly because he's slipping or because he's in a fight where the clash of styles makes him look bad. I remember watching his first title-winning effort and he looked horrible for a the better part of that fight, against another southpaw. I haven't seen the Barcelona fight, but I've got the YT videos bookmarked.

No way in hell is Donaire anywhere close to the most avoided fighter in boxing today. He has fought nobody since the Darchinyan win except midget cab drivers and bloated 100 pounders.

He also had a fight scheduled with Montriel, but Montiel cancelled on him.

He went up to 118 and got shutout by king kong agbeko. He needs to rematch donaire and stop making excuses. This fight was supposed to happen in august then for some reason it got cancelled.

It's cuz nobody wanted to fight him. After he knocked out darchinyan at flyweight the rest of the champions didn't want no part of him. He moved up to 115 and darchinyan doesn't wanna fight him. He said he would like to fight a champion at 115 before he moves up to 118 to challenge montiel.

He ain't no buster douglas.. buster didn't win **** after he beat tyson. Donaire on the other hand has won a title at 115 (interim) and is finding a hard time finding an opponent.

I mean darchinyan should wanna jump all over this rematch if he really wants to prove that the first fight was a fluke.

He can forget about marquez cuz he is now fighting at featherweight. A fight with montiel would be nice but how come he doesn't seem to want his avenge his loss to donaire? :think

Yeah, Vic took a chance in a third weight class against a rugged champion and didn't win. Donaire did...what again? The guy with the history of making the biggest fights available to him-Darchinyan. The guy who only has one big win-Donaire-against Darchinyan. Gee, who should I be inclined to think is holding up the proceedings? The Donaire camp, or the Darchinyan camp? Hmm. :think

Vic- Olympian, though did not medal.

Donaire- tried out for the Olympics, though failed to qualify.

Vic-Flyweight champ. Beating an undefeated established champion to be the champ. Six defenses.

Donaire-beat an undefeated flyweight champ and had three defenses.

Vic-only man to unify the super flyweight division, three world titles, fought Arce, Kirilov and Mijares.

Donaire-was the interim super flyweight champion for the WBA-while Vic was the actual champion of both the WBA and the lineal, period.

Vic-Challenged a very well regarded champion for a major Bantamweight title. Donaire-???

Now, this isn't a knock on the very talented Donaire, (who I think would beat Vic again) as he's been around less time. But it is a ****ing reality check on who gets things done so far. I'm inclined to believe that Vic would love to fight Donaire again as I think he believes he wins it. I can't say that about Donaire because he doesn't have the history to support him. :hi:

It had to do with donaire's management plus the champs at flyweight did avoid him. Gary Shaw had conflict with donaire and didn't want his prizefighter to get KTFO again.

Vic has done well since losing to donaire. If he can't make 115 anymore then i can see donaire moving up to 118 to fight him. I just hope vic stop making excuses.

:patsch Oh, I see. Shaw can interfere with Donaire as his management and it's his fault, but not with Darchinyan as Darchinyan's management? Biaaaas. Think about it. Darchinyan wants the fight. It fits his entire history of always making the big fights out there. Maybe Donaire's management is the only problem, but since he doesn't have that kind of history yet that Vic has, I wouldn't bet on it one way or the other. I would actually put money on Vic wanting the rematch.
