    Dear Friends
    kind regards
Today we continue our Step back in time series.
Last Monday I made my glorious 12th return to ESB and created this type of thread that was dedicated to Golota's first fight against Bowe.
Today we are going to watch, analyse and discuss the rematch.
The rematch is one of the most brutal and intense matches I have ever seen.
Here is Golota/Bowe 2 in its entirety.

    Round 1.

    [yt]e6EzAyf_Vq4[/yt]

    Round 2.

    [YT]dNW5lpa_ehM[/YT]

    Round 3.

    [YT]y9X6HxEi3eQ[/YT]

    Round 4.

    [YT]bgR0jpOvPVM[/YT]

    Round 5.

    [YT]ADrvQjCPqjM[/YT]

    Round 6.

    [YT]GcuZHqEBp-Y[/YT]

    Round 7.

    [YT]mZtNCWCp8bY[/YT]

    Round 8.

    [YT]T3SkWgF4hfg[/YT]

    Round 9.

    [YT]QhtdDQ21T0w[/YT]

Golota once again betrayed himself by throwing low blows.
But my goodness, this match was a WAR and neither man was ever the same again.
What did you think about this match at the time?
For those of you who have never seen it, here is your chance and your opinions are welcomed.
If you could give me your opinions A.S.A.P I'd appreciate it.
    yours thankfully
    John

    Dear Fat Joe
    kind regards
Yes the Heavyweight division is my favourite historically.
But I do like the other divisions too, especially the middleweight divisions.
I have vowed to put emphasis on making Fantasy warfare threadsand Step back in time threads for the other weight divisoions too.
Keep an eye out for all of these great threads in the days, weeks and months to come.
    yours thankfully
    John

Golota was an excellent fighter and was just unfortunate to face Lennox Lewis.

One of my favorite HW fights of all time. I remember watching it live as a kid, laughing at how crazy Golota was. Now when I watch it, it's very sad to see Bowe taking such a huge beating, especially after knowing what kind of shape he's in now. It's also sad to know that Golota never won a title, despite being more skilled than a lot of former champions.

I think if anything, this fight did positive things for Bowe's legacy and rating. He was obviously nearly shot, but he took an insane beating and made multiple comebacks during the fight, proving his outstanding chin and heart.

Bowe had defeated Holyfield not too long before facing Golota.

He was at his absolute peak against Golota - just not on the same level.

Could you please explain this. I have heard this term mentioned but I have only been here a short time and I believe you have been banned for a while, so I have never seen one of these threads.

Sup Moralman love your threads, but Bowe showed he still had a little something in the tank when he was able to knock down Golota but still Bowe was getting countered at will by Golota, even with all the continued crazyness in the rematch it was still a good fight.

    Dear Sir
    kind regards
Since 2003, I have been doing Fantasy warfare threads on this forum.
The concept of Fantasy warfare is simple, you take two renown boxers from the past or present and pit them against each other.
Here are the three matches that I have created since my return.

    Jack Dempsey versus Andrew Golota
    1. http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=65884

Marvelous Marvin Hagler versus Chris Eubank
    2. http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=65491

    Muhammad Ali versus Andrew Golota
    3. http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=65353

The above opposition is pitted against each other in prime for prime matches, the people get to vote and discuss who would win these great imaginary matches.
You are more than welcome to contribute to the three above Fantasy warfare threads and give your opinions on each match.
I hope that you do so in the near future.
    yours thankfully
    John

    Hey Moralman.............

I think Bowe was an empty, broken shell by the time of Bowe Gollatta II.

A shame..........he had the whole package at one point..........
