I like your thinking but I am still convinced Lewis got right inside Bowe's head and Bowe wanted none of it. The dumping of the belt in the trashcan and the bull**** that followed just cements it.

    Dear Friends
    kind regards
Riddick Bowe was a big bully who was scared of Lennox Lewis.
    Take a look at this.

Lewis confronted chicken Bowe after his defeat of Holyfield and even then predicted that Bowe would duck him.
Lewis said that he saw fear in his eyes and I believe him.
Zakman should not make excuses for the brooklyn bully Bowe.
    yours thankfully

Rock Newman and Riddick Bowe saw that they exploit HBO for easy money against guys like Jesse Ferguson, Mike Dokes, and what they thought would be an easy rematch with Evander Holyfield (hence Bowe's excess weight and waistline).

Years later, we saw other fighters exploit HBO for easy money.

Great post moralman. It doesn't take a psychiatrist to see Bowe really was Chicken-Bowe! Then again, in his defence, the beating he took from Lewis in Seoul would be a hard one to forget.

I agree 100% with everything you said bro..^^^
That being said, I'd still prob pick Ruddock again if I were to go back in time and rewatch this live...lol
The "Smash" as Donovan called his uppercut was a shot that could change a fight with one swing. we all know the Lewis Chin, I think it would still be a toss up again.

Prime Tyson would beat the early 90's Lewis - who had yet to firmly align his skill with his natural talent.

Prime Tyson would lose to the late 90's Lewis - because Lewis was rounded by then and had the experience necessary to deal with Tyson.

Prime Holyfield out works the young Lewis with his stamina and guile.

Prime Holyfield gets blasted by the late Lewis, because he was always trying to go to war with substantially bigger men like Bowe. He would learn better for a rematch, but this hypothetical is born of a first time kind of thinking.

    Dear Rattler
    kind regards
Judging by your analysis above, do you think that Lennox Lewis is the greatest heavyweight of all time?
I don't think that Lewis is the greatest heavyweight ever, but he was great and did my country very proud.

    No.

Joe Louis... Muhammad Ali... and Jack Johnson were better. Maybe even Larry Holmes, although Holmes' opposition makes the distinction murky at best.

Must agree here, the Tyson fights just took a lot out of him. He put SO much hope and training for those 2 fights and when he came out losing he just lost the hunger in my opinion. The fight with Morrison is enough proof and this fight with Lewis.

    Dear Rattler
    kind regards
The best way to determine who is the best out of Lennox Lewis and Larry Holmes is to pit them against each other prime for prime.
You will get the answer pretty easily.
I will soon create a Fantasy warfare match up pitting Lewis and Holmes against each other.
Watch out for the thread in the near future.
    yours thankfully

It won't be easy at all. Both men possess tremendous jabs and a cautious nature. The fight will be hard to hypothesize about, simply because we've never seen either of them fight men of similar size and style.
