Step back in time...........Mike Tyson versus Andrew Golota

I love how Tyson opens the first round with his bob and weave. ****er was intimidating as hell, coming toward Golota like a shark.

As to Golota's quitting, its very strange. Ever since that boxers shitting thread I'm inclined to think everyone that quits has the shits. Maybe Golota had to run back to the dressing room.

 

Yeah, but this wasn't because of Tyson per say. Golota had anxiety and I'm convinced that this was likely of clinical proportions. Of course, someone like Tyson (esp. that version) probably made it worse. There were numerous instances of him locking himself and delaying to come out for several fights. His early round woes were directly a result of this. I'm not sure if this was generalized anxiety (he did seem anxious in most situations), stage fright type anxiety or phobia (unlikely). If Andrew Golota did in fact have an anxiety disorder,something that you largely cannot control and is not of your making, than he accomplished quite a bit and had balls to come out and fight and do so admirably on more than one occasion. I'm curious whether he was on antidepressants to control his anxiety.

 

I don't think so. If Golota can beat Bowe, Byrd, Ruiz and McBride you have to give him some considerable chances against a post prime Tyson.

 

That was exactly what would have happened, it would have been like Tyson-Mcbride.
