There have been many boricua glass cannons over the years, but he's damn near the stereotype's poster child. "Explosivo" indeed, but it only takes a hundredth of his own power to put him in shambles.

Claggett hooking from the waist to armpit of Machado, and cracking him up top with right hands. Machado battling valiantly but wilting visibly. Claggett with low-to-high combos and puts him down yet again. Machado looking ready to hit the showers. He stands and trades a bit more, but takes a knee after Claggett digs in his ass with some chopping shots up top and shoveling uppercuts downstairs. He lets the ref count on.

Impressive outing from The Dragon, even if Machado does have the consitution of crêpe paper.

Time for a long overdue trilogy fight with Mathieu Germain - which, if Claggett were to be victorious, would then necessitate a fourth match as tiebreaker.

 

Claggett looks like a distant cousin of Rob McIlhenny, from a slightly inbred Appalachian branch of the family.

 

His style hasn't changed much, but yeah, hurting opponents with every other shot now, head or body, with both hands.

El Changuito was saying earlier in a Spanish interview that he actually had a full training camp for this for once. So if he gets KTFO as some are predicting, no excuses, the Armenian is the real deal. Very good punchers have failed.

For his part, Bazinyan, the last time he fought a Mexican, stopped Reinaldo Daniel Paniagua Aguilera in the ninth.
