Stephen Ormond is a 5'5ish 32 year old Lightweight with a 20-2 11 KO's record. Born in and fighting out of Clondalkin, Dublin, Ireland. Stephen will probably never be an ATG but he's a damn fun to watch little fighter who has a pretty impressive record despite a hiccup or two. He lost a very close decision after having a point deducted against Phil Appleby a few years ago, and most recently got disqualified for repeated headbutting in his match against Turbo Terry Flanagan, and in Stephen's defense Terry was holding a hell of a lot to keep Stephen off of him, and his mind wasn't there due to a death in his family. Since the debacle of the Flanagan match he's signed with Al Haymon and will most likely be popping up on US television's sooner rather than later, and he's rebounded with 3 KO victories in a row over some overmatched competition. He's a bit little boxer/puncher, a little bit hook happy volume punching pressure fighter, and a little bit brawler, all around a solid fighter who deserves more credit than he gets. Maybe one of the fine Irish lads could help, but IIRC Ormond had a rivalry with Tony Bates in the ams; something like 10 fights, both winning 5.

Ormond, Bates also had a rivalry with Jamie Kavanagh. Ormond went like 4-2 in the ams, Bates 1-3 (with Kavanagh being KD in one of his wins).

My numbers may be a skewed, but I recall seeing their records against each other...!!!

I really like Ormond, he's entertaining, tough and can really fight to. He's not really anything other than fringe world level material, but he could be in some great matches with the British lightweights in the future.
