This content is protected Smith is next in line for a shot at the British title By Shaun Brown Stephen Smith (11-0) will be keeping a close eye on next months British Featherweight title belter, between current holder Martin Lindsay and challenger John Simpson. Swifty, who won the Commonwealth title back in September against Simpson, is currently recuperating after suffering a snapped tendon in his left hand during the fight. Ive got some movement back in my hand and in a month I hope to be punching again, said Smith when talking to Undisputed. read more at http://www.undisputedfightmag.com/2010/11/24/smith-looking-for-a-swift-return/
Should be good getting the 3 of them in the mix.Simpson Lindsay and Smith imo One of the 3 of them's got to get a shot at the Euro belt .Hopefully Simpson since he's the Scot .If I had to predict the winner of Simpson Lindsay i'd edge towards a close decision again only hopefully this time Simpson would be on the right end of the scorecards .Hopefully he starts fast against Lindsay .Same as what Abraham's got to do I read against Froch as well both of them .Not start at a slow pace.
simpson deserves a return with smith, i thought he deserved a draw at worse in a close fight, though my opinion is beating lindsay will be a shade to hard at the present time for both of them.:good
good too see swifty nearing return now hoefully not to long til he cleans up at domestic and european level
The best fight for Smith will be a Simpson rematch. I fancy Lindsay to win agaisnt Simpson and vacate. Smith should have a warm up fight (Commonwealth afrobum) and then a Simpson rematch for the vacant title. Featherweight is seriously weak after the 3 of them.
