I think Smith will do the business the lad doesnt want to hang around if he beats Simpson he wants Lindsay straight after how refreshing would it be to see a young prospect matched hard if he were to beat Simpson and Lindsay he would be European knocking on the door of fringe world class in under 15 fights that would be impressive
I'll take my hat off to Smith and give him props but truthly don't think he's got the calibre to beat Simpson .Just doing a bit of maths .Comparing the 2 records Smiths 10 fights and Simpsons last 10 both have 60 percent ko records Smiths tho all the guys have more losses than wins .Simpson on the other hand .Never been stopped and Smiths really struggling to stop anyone with a win half lose half record just now .That's why I say his only chance a points win but Simpson's training with Burns sparring and that man that's why skillwise I don't see him struggling because what did Bunce say .Burns is one of the purest boxers in the UK .
As said before, enjoy ya posts.....no idea who you is either but you have an open mind....hence ma reply and respect. Such views are few and far on ESB atm. Though many including maself will argue that stats etc = nothing. Anyways, as said....Simpson cleans up.
"Last fight, wide punches, falls in behind his shots, over eager, physical i don't see enough to keep a pitbull like simpson off him for 12 rounds. i see truscott all over again" Mandanda
Its crazy to think that after all this time, people still doubt Simmy at this level. FFS Billy, promise me one thing. When Simmy wins his next fight, do all you can to deliver Simpson the proper big fight he deserves. John has been stuck at this level all too long, & its time the Greenock Granite gets the chance to prove himself at the next level. Martinez thinks hes just going to smash Burns, & he certainly has the tools for the job. Shame the Puerto ***** hasnt realised Burns spars with that tough wee ****er Simpson:deal Burns couldnt ask for better prep for this arrogant ***** Martinez if you ask me. Just remember & keep telling Burns that hes one win away from eclipsing the great Scotty Harrison, THATS how big this fight is. Harrison was a beast, but he never got THAT defining win. Rickys got the chance now, & I keep my fingers crossed that he pulls it off. The weird thing is, I predicted years ago here before people like your good self posted here that Ricky Burns would be a world champion. It would be the greatest prediction of my life if it came true, so make it happen Billy, & lets see HairyHighlander get the chance to take a pic of a world champion boxer & post THAT pic on here, that would be pretty special for this man. I will be there cheering Burns on, & I just hope you all got your tactics right. Me personally? I would be telling Burns to get on his bike & box, do what Khan did against Kotelnik. throw on the outside, stay out of trouble as much as possible & go for the points win. Dont brawl, dont get tied up, dont hold, box on the back foot at all times. Burns is as slippery as an eel when he fights the right fight. Make sure he fights the right Billy. Man, look at me, getting all caught up in the moment Cant help it people, Rickys on the cusp of scottish boxing greatness, can you blame me for this kinda post? Burns is getting the fight I always wanted my hero Scotty Harrison to get, I almost feel like Rocky in Rocky V shouting out advice, punching an imaginery bag whilst Im in the kelvin Hall cheering him on:yep
Yep, i'd agree with that. Btw isn't Mandanda just the type of guy you'd wonna confabulate with over a cup of latte? We've also got a new "Trojan" in the building and he goes by "Dftaylor". That kid is sharp bro.
