    They get in a clinch to start Smith doing nice work in the clinch now. Selby not as accurate in this round, Selby missing a lot. Smith bullies in and a nice right hand by SMith that buzzes Selby on the ropes, Smith rushing in pounding to the body, they clinch. Selby looking very tired now, Smith looking a bit wary as well, but he's moving forward winging shots. Selby, not as accurate missing. SMith rushing in and doing nice inside work now. THey trade to end the round.

    Selby lands some big overhands on the way in to his lean. Smith totally disregards any defense as he unloads shot after shot, outworking Selby and not letting him get a moment's rest on the inside. Smith is making it very sloppy and scrappy on the inside. Selby is unable to clinch and can't push Smith far back enough to get away. Selby looks quite uneasy and glances at his corner for advice. Through it all Selby is able to land some big right hands on the wide-open Smith. Nice lunging right by Smith, knocking Selby back to the ropes. Selby jabs and circles left. Smith tackles him into the ropes and gets shoved back. Another clinch, and Smith digs some hooks to the body. Selby slaps back at the hips of Smith while backing up and against gets caught on the ropes. Their arms tangle and Smith's left is twisted around behind him.

    Smith up against the ropes now, a change, and Selby wacks Smith, and that pisses Smith off and he rushes in with a two body shots and a head shot! Smith coming in firing and doing inside work. Nice left hook by Smith! Selby comes back pushes off gets some space BIG UPPERCUT! Smith hurt again! And they hold. Smith walking in firing shots still. Left hook to the body and head by Smith. Smith is on him like a shirt and just not letting Selby breathe. Tough round to score that one.

    Well, they're doing a bang up job right enough. I don't know how they can reel those posts off so quick.

    IB, do you tap those round analysis out while watching the round or after the round ends?

    Selby has caught Smith with some big shots, and Smith is just walking through them. If he can't hurt him expect Selby to lose heart and get worn down at some point.

    Nice overhands by Selby, but smoothly executed and sought out patiently as he sizes up Smith. Just a straight-forward march by Smith, getting jabbed and grabbed. Selby props his shoulder up against Smith and tees off with some nice body shots. Smith lands a good right hand as Selby leans back, but gets peppered with more body shots. Smith loads up on an overhand right and grazes Selby but gets countered and tied up. Selby now starts to bounce back on his toes and leave Smith in Siberia. NICE uppercut to the jaw by Smith as they lean together and grind their forearms. Big right hand to the ear by Smith. Selby again looks at his corner with that pleading expression. Smith keeps pushing him back to the ropes and but gets clipped with a left hook as his head is turned down.

    Slow round it starts out looking and both on their toes. Smith backing up just a bit, Selby nice right hand and Smith holds. Both jabbing in the middle of the ring. Selby outboxing Smith, and Smith realizes this. He now jumps in and starts wadding in. Two left hooks land for Smith and Selby right back fires a right hand and a left hook. Very clean. Smith close firing shots, and Selby trying to push him off. Smith lands a little left hook, and a nice right hnad right in close. Another close tough round to score.

    67-66 Smith.

    Selby is loading up on long whip-cracks up top while leaning side to side, rubber-waisted. Smith is able to land jabs as Selby's head flutters in and out of its path, but is on the receiving end of all the power punches here. Long, punishing shots with Selby's knuckles embedded in the side of the head. Smith is down!! OUT?!

    YES! Smith got KTFO cold!!

    That entire 8th round was brutal for Smith. Possibly career-shortening.

    Love this, come on Selby...and Samuels. Stephen got 2 very lucky wins over Simpson who I'm a big fan of and Paul Smith is just a ****.
