    Not really, he was lucky to get the decision against Figueroa. In all likelihood he was either going to go up to Featherweight and lose there against Brandon or some scrub. Instead he could go to Japan and take an L against an ATG. Charlo is making the same decision by going up to face Canelo, instead of Tszyu.

    Personally, I think he beats Tim. But there's definitely a chance he loses. So he weighed it out. Risk losing a small money match, become an afterthought. Or look like he has balls of steel by moving up two divisions and take on the divisional kingpin, get the money for the big match, take an L and be praised for his bravery.
