So quick, you didn't answer where you watched the fight ?

 

Picture perfect stoppage by the ref. He stepped in right when Fulton started to slump into the corner. Excellent ringside footage.

3 was more competitive than the first two, so I could see someone being swayed by that; Inoue pretty clearly did the better work in that round, though. Don't see any way you could score that round to Cool Boy.

Fulton landed a couple of flush right hands in the fifth and they were the cleanest punches of the round, so scoring that round for him is within reason, I think. I still called it for Inoue, but Fulton did OK in that round.

And the seventh was definitely one that could be scored for Fulton based on landing the cleaner punches and statistically landing more.

Inoue was still clearly ahead, but I wouldn't hate a card that gave Fulton one round, or maybe two at an absolute stretch.

Didn't matter anyway, since Inoue wasn't bothered by Fulton's fleeting success and went about his business.

 

I would add to that and say his precision was remarkable as well. Ring generalship was great also.

 

I think he was nervous. He was throwing a lot more leaping shots than normal and doing weird sort of half taunts early on, or at least I thought he was.

I would always wonder that getting hit that hard by the high guard straight to the forearms would be the worst at least with me as that's a big weak spot of mine.

 

I still remember the time the PBC took down the original fight of Wilder v Fury 1, then re-uploaded it with new commentary that was ridiculously pro-Wilder to the point of calling shots that were clear misses. They have no shame in the media at times.

 

Yeah those courtesy rounds you look for when it's a near shut out.
