Stephon Fulton, Jr. vs. Naoya Inoue & Robeisy Eloy Ramirez Carrazana vs. Satoshi Shimizu RBR.

Rounds 1-4 weren't a "complete whitewash domination". Yes Inoue was winning rounds, yes he was in control, yes the stoppage was fantastic, but lets not get crazy about how one-sided it was. It wasn't "that" one-sided before the stoppage.

 

He took a chance, fought pretty well and got up from a...monstrous...KD when he could have easily stayed down. He's definitely worth following going forward.

 

I don't see any hate for him. People are just saying he got wrecked which is what happened.

He went out in his shield and didn't give up.

 

Not in terms of physicality, because Inoue was holding back like a patient predator, but he did thoroughly outbox Fulton. In every aspect. Jab, footwork, everything. Despite the book being that, if you had to shoehorn them into traditional cookie-cutter roles, Inoue was the "puncher" and Fulton the "boxer".

"he just had no answers" that's exactly what I said around the 4th round. He looked befuddled, I didn't expect Inoue to completely out box him . I wondered early with how Fulton looked and this being a mega fight did Fulton freeze in the moment? Apart from being outclassed I think maybe a little.

 

It was that one sided. A fignt doesn’t have to be a beat down to be one sided. You can dominate a fighter by outboxing so widely. Floyd did it many times. Inoue did it tonight through 7

 

I noticed that too. Anotherwords yes Inoue responded, landed something in return, but most of the return fire was deflected like you said, didn't land clean, so what was landed in return by Inoue, while effective and noteworthy, even though it involved more punches thrown, wasn't as good as what he was hit with.

That's fair, I don't disagree with any of that. But again it's also fair to point out that some rounds, namely the 5th and the 7th were close, or closer. Anotherwords Fulton started to settle in to the fight by the middle rounds, and he was making it somewhat competitive despite being thoroughly outboxed for the most part.

 

I’m not even a Scooter fan. I was an Angelo Leo fan and I was pissed Scooter beat him.

 

They tend to think being defensive minded is the only thing that makes one a tactical fighter.

The Monster has everything...footwork, punch rate, endurance, punch selection, great defense.

Amazing. He completely outboxed a very good fighter. Fulton had to answer for what was coming at him.
