I've been noticing this trend among suspect posters that, apparently, PED use nowadays is a hindrance to the user. Odd... This assertion wasn't pushed by some of you until Freddie Roach came out and said he suspected one of his top fighters to have been using PED's for a couple years, a couple of years ago.

mikes right, they make you a weaker person for having to accept PEDs.

A lot depends on what drugs you are talking about. Those that build muscle wont make you faster. Those that make you last longer may be detrimental to muscle mass. They can be counterproductive as well as a boon.

No the Op is not saying that ! Honestly where did you get from ?

I just agree with Tyson's point . No fighter should, use a PED. But to think it actually makes you a better fighter is ******ed !

It may make u more fit so you can train longer but it's not going to make you a hall of famer.

PEDs don't make Junior a better fighter, however, PEDs enable him to be strong and keep going while his opponents tire. Hence the misconception he is "a slow starter". When faced with a more skillful opponent who uses PEDs too, his real skill level is more observable.
