    Old skool ref. Some of his fights are painful to watch. Many would definitely be called off earlier today but damn if he didn't oversee many classic fights. RIP Smoger, you were one of the greats.

    Smoger was one of the few good refs along with Mills Lane…
    Both dead within a month of each other.
    Very sad.
    I met him at the BHOF dinner one year.
    He seemed a very nice man.
