I booked my flight for Copenhagen and then a train ticket to Herning but as I was going out early my flight got cancelled due to the Volcano and I wouldn't of been able to get out in time!!!

Has anybody heard any more details about these 'shennanigans', of heard confirmed from any other sources that there is something wrong?

    Mick Hennesey today said

"With regards to the reports that Steve Bunce was quoted as saying there had been 'shenanigans surrounding the Froch fight' to a Manchester radio show with regards the Monaco event, I can confirm I spoke to Steve this morning who says he was misquoted. He actually meant that with 'all the previous shenanigans' that he was glad the fight was now on. So no cause for alarm."

Wow they need to sort this out. When i went to Herning we literally were leaving it to the last minute with it changing locations so many times. And with the ash cloud and all it was made even more tense. Was literally set to book everything (for Monaco) but its best to sort tickets out first then let everything else follow. Particualry through Queensbury Travel great company to use.

    EDIT: Just read robpalmer's post

    Good hope everything's back on.

I find this hard tp believe. About the Froch fight I mean, not Rhodes fighting for a world title, it's long overdue now.

Having listened to Bunce's radio interview I know what I heard and he said there were shenanigans going on presently, there is no doubt that is what he was inferring.

I am also told that tickets for the fight were due out at the start of August but this has been postponed until the middle of August.

I have no idea whats going on behind the scenes but the two sentences above are fact.

  11. Shenanigans doesn't sound too bad to be honest. If he said there were antics, capers and a little bit of tomfoolery going on then I might be slightly more concerned.

That comment suggests you are the one and same STC.

Bunce also said there were "problems"........so there!

  14. Yeah, it's me mate.

Buncey does get a bit excited every now and again though, to be fair.

Yeh theres no way Bunce was misquoted or mis understood, it was quite clear what he said.
