buncey has access to everyone who's anyone in boxing...thats why these shows of his, on tv or radio, have so many guests fitted in....rather than licking the arses of british boxers / managers etc, i'd say he is respectful towards them, therefore keeping his contacts and always having access to them, otherwise hows he going to keep going like he is if he starts slagging british boxers who are his bread and butter, well, for his boxing programmes anyway.....he's got old school good manners, nothing wrong with that. here's a question....who could do what bunce does, with current boxing news, amatuer news, reports of british boxing history, answer emails etc, make it enjoyable and light-hearted, keep in touch on forums like this, and serve it all up every week, week in week out.....and do it better than bunce ??...who'd put the work into it that he does ?
There will be some Haye, Harrison stuff this Thursday. Also, a look at the GB championships and Gary Poole from inside Pacman's camp in Houston. I've reached out to Lennox. Also, using last week's Boxing Monthly Greatest Boxing Nation blueprint I will reveal the Best Fight City in Britain result. On the Dom front - Dom could have gone all the way to a British title. Why not? Adios.
Great to see the legend respond on here too.I look forward to thursday at 8.00 top bloke. Buncey for MBE long over due
Can't stand him to be honest. He just get's louder and louder and louder the longer he goes on in interviews.
Buncey is legendary. I used to love watching him during the build up on Setanta. And Andy Kerr. What a charming bloke.
Have to disagree with the whole topic of the thread. Bunce gets the casual fan more interested when he gets on the box. However, his written articles and radio shows are for a select few and are very entertaining. Love the BBC podcast myself. Who have you got on it this week Bunce(apart from the aforementioned stuff on Haye Harrison)?
