True ok change rugby with football but that wasn't my point. My point was that the US isn't the only country that has to compete with other sports for the best athletes and it really pisses me off when I have to here this Yank bull **** of we have no stars coming through because all our best athletes are going into other sports, yeah because the US is the only country where there are other more popular sports :fire

Show me the heavyweights in football..?

Of course we have to compete with other sports, but comparing US to the USA is abit silly...

Boxing is still going strong in the UK...!

I've been saying that for years. Vitali was always the cruder boxer, and I think his handspeed and footwork is noticeably poorer since the Lewis fight.

I dont wanna knock Vitali, he's a beast and a good guy, but Haye's fast punches and angles will be a stylistic nightmare for him. Plus you have to consider he is approaching 40, he is not a young man any more.

Wlad has a more varied game, moves more fluently, and is a lot younger than Vitali. Vitali is more upright, and therefore easier for Haye to hit with the counter right hand.

Haye has made a career, amatuer and pro, of being able to nail upright eastern europeans with that counter right hand every time they throw a jab. As an amatuer, he used to knock these eastern europeans out for fun with this method, often taking the **** and clowning around and then taking them out with a single shot. He even started dropping his left hand, just to encourage them to throw the jab and give him opportunity to counter. Against Vitali I think this style is very dangerous, whereas against Wlad I think it will not be as effective.

Indeed it is but take Haye out of the Heavies and we have a bunch of lardy ****ers too !

On a related but seperate note , the Elevation of Vitali to the greatest Heavyweight of all time over on the GF has reached frankly terrifying proportions ..............I'm scared !
