Steve Collins vs Carl Froch Prime vs Prime

Steve Collins could get into Carl's Head but it would be a war.

 

Collins had the better chin and was the better technician, Collins on points for me.

 

I think Collins on points. The man was made of granite.

 

Collins would grind out a win.

 

Never considered this fight before, strangely, but it'd likely be a great, competitive one. I'd probably take Collins via decision

Collins was a more intelligent fighter than Froch with more dimensions to his game. Froch would stick it out and likely hurt him in the later rounds, maybe even drop him, but I'd favor Collins to get the win.

 

I think it is forgotten that it was a tougher era back when Collins was active and people just look at whats in front of them rather than all aspects. As much as I like Froch and think he would be able to go the distance, I think Collins would win and clearly in a busy fight.
Collins was faster, had every bit as good a chin as Froch, was arguably stronger than Froch and I think had a better workrate on a consistant basis.
Collins (debateable) has a win over undefeated Eubank, a better SMW than any around today, and beat him twice. He also beat Benn twice.

Good fight, but would go with Collins
