    Absolutely!:D

Would be a brutal struggle. Two very evenly matched fighters imo. Cant splitt them.

Christ the Brits on here with their "Collins got lucky against Eubank and Benn", still can't accept the fact that a past prime Collins beat both of them TWICE  Collins had a granite chin and Froch's power is overrated (as is his chin), so Froch dropping Collins is highly ****ing unlikely I would think.

You're counting Benns ankle injury as a win ?

and if Collins was past prime what the **** were Benn and Eubank ?

I really liked Collins but he tore in face first and while I think he would've whipped Froch , Froch could well have walked him on to a shot

but I forgot all noobs speak in absolutes.

Its good tho , lets you know early which ****in idiots to ignore

He did against Benn. Any other thinking is delusional.
The Eubank victories are much better as Eubank still had a decent amount left in the tank.

I think its possible that Froch could floor Collins but rather unlikely. Collins was a tough ****er.

Collins was hurt a few times in his career, McCallum had him badly hurt in the mid-rounds and almost punched himself out trying to finish him, kalambay rocked him with an uppercut and had him doubling over with bodyshots at times, and Eubank had him down hard from the sneak right.

His jaw was excellent, but not granite.

That said, he's far too active for Froch, and when he does box from the outside, though it's ugly and sloppy as hell, it's better and more effective than Carl's work.

He fought some of the biggest punchers around at the time and was put down only 3 times in his entire career(once due to being off balance, once from a body shot). I would say that qualifies as having a granite chin.

Anyone who says Collin's chin was anything less than granite is nuts.

I think Collins would out work him to a UD. Collins would eat a fair few jabs, especially when you consider Froch's long reach, but he would walk him down and his work rate would be much higher and that would be the difference imo. I'd be very surprised if either KO'd each other.

Re: Collins beating Eubank and Benn.

Benn was faded, no arguments there. Eubank had plenty left, Collins was just a style that he couldn't handle. People who say Eubank was shot are usually sour Brits. The better man won twice.

Froch is relentless but his strengths compliment Collin's strength

    Collins chin wasn't granite.

Granite chinned fighters don't reel around the ring like drunks against an accumulation puncher like McCallum, or get floored heavily by Eubank.

Two of the fighters Collins faced, Benn and McCallum, made Ring Magazines 100 greatest punchers list. Eubank could bang aswell. Power is the last thing a fighter loses and Benn's punches had no effect on Collins so the "shot" excuse doesn't cut it here.
