Heard a lot about this guy. Never seen him fight.
Wondering if some of his fans/observers could fill me in.
Is he any good? Whats his style? how would he match up against Haye? And any other relevent info.
Does he make a good topic of discussion

Good fighter. Nothing extraordinary stands out. Doesn't have that X-Factor like a Haye but should be a key player if not the man at Cruiser for a while.

The most overrated underrated fighter on here

Can't believe some people give him a chance against Haye. Good all-round fighter, but he's just not A class. As Smith said, nothing outstanding at all. Good defence, nice skills, okay speed but no real power

People seem to forget his struggles with Wlodarczyk. I think he'd have his work cut out with fellow Pole Adamek...

Good fighter, though with a distinct lack of power. Stoppage record since his first ten fights fighting bums is poor.

His resume is more notable due to the locations of some of the fights than the actual names faced. Kudos for going to South Africa to face Rothmann, Poland to fight Wlodarczyk and Germany to fight Huck. None of them are all that good though, best name on Cunningham's record is still Guillermo Jones.

Should be in good position to be a player in the shake up in the division. Adamek is number one contender for his title. It's a step up, but Cunningham can win a decision.

Would have no chance whatsoever against Haye.

the guy has nobody and i mean really nobody impressive on his resume.

If he is good, he has yet to prove it. If anything he has shown otherwise.

Bullcrap. Guillermo Jones was a top Cruiserweight, should have been WBO champ but was robbed, Kelvin Davis was good when Cunningham beat him, Marco Huck was the golden boy waiting to be crowned, and Wlodarcyzk is a strong fighter who's underrated by many.

Cunningham is the best Cruiserweight in the world with Haye gone. He's a boxer who can also punch when he sits down. At his best he's a defensive wizard with fast hands and is also one of the best conditioned fighters in the world.

He's vastly underrated, largely because he's never been seen in the states on TV. Cunningham is the real deal.

I like what I've seen. He has good fundamentals and is pretty good at everything he does.

His fight with Adamek should be great! Can't wait.

Solid all around guy- lacks huge power, but is above average in just about everything else. I'm looking forward to him defending against Adamek

He's a good all-around fighter, nothing really stands out. Good speed and boxing skills. Underrated

    And will beat Adamek :smoke

I'm an Adamek fan, but I don't think a victory over Cunningham will be easy.

Should be a competitive contest, although, in the end I am hoping Adamek prevails.

Is he any good? Yes,he is. He is a decent and capable fighter, slick, fast, good counterboxer.
However,he is a bit overrated IMO.His two fights with Wlodarczyk were not really that convincing. And lets not forget that the Pole got a gift decision against light heavy gate keeper Karanevich and hasnt really shown that many good performances in the ring.
I think that there are quite a lot of fighters at cruiser who are able to beat him.Cunningham isnt such an outstanding fighter like his rival Haye was at cruiser weight.
Besides Alexeev will soon take over the command at cruiser weight.

Great post. I've seen a couple of claim that Cunningham is overrated. That's just plain ridiculous. Only a couple of people on this site give Cunningham his props. Most people on this site claimed that Huck would beat him down then tried to claim Huck was garbage after he got stopped. People claim he hasn't beaten anyone, but as you pointed out he beat Wlodarcyzk, Jones, Davis, Huck, and I'll add Rothmann. People claim he doesn't deserve a shot at Haye even though he's the IBF champ and the no.1 rated fighter behind Haye. Now many are claiming Adamek will beat him easily.

I don't know what this guy has to do to get some respect. He's a good fighter, he fights good opposition, and he's willing to travel anywhere to fight. This guy is pretty fast, puts his punches together well, is always in great shape, has a solid defense, and works the body well.
