Bute was up at 7 seconds and the round is then over. No controversy.

I agree. All he has to do at that point is stand up. And be able to continue the fight, which is completely up to the ref, I suppose. Bute is still up at 7.

he wouldn't have been able to continue. i don't think that applies to "you can't the saved by the bell" rule. i think you have to just get up before the 10 count. if you do have to look as if you can continue, then the fight should have been waved. Bute was ****ing glazed. Shame, I had high hopes for him.

Bute is a poser, he was a overhyped, over protected joke like I thought he was.

The clock ran out during the 7 seconds it took Bute to stand. Bute didn't need the ref to do anything other than end the fight. The warning to Andrade was irrelevant.

Does anyone really know the true rule here? There are differing opinions. Was their time on the clock when the KD occurred? If yes, then Bute has to get up and be able to continue in the ref's opinion, correct?

No controversy huh? Go watch another sport. Even the referee admitted that Bute was done and he said that Andrade cost himself the victory. Have you ever seen a referee make such a flippant statement towards a fighter?

Now we have a chance to see who the boxing fans are and the nuthuggers are cuz we've got alot of people from Montreal here. I wanna see who's gonna step up and say that Andrade was robbed.

The ref's statements were ridiculous. Seriously. I have never seen a ref make statements like that after a fight. His statements will only add to the controversy. Andrade clearly did nothing wrong after the knockdown. I would still like a little clarification on what the rule is. It's the ref's discretion to determine whether or not Bute can continue, even if he beats the "10 count", correct?

You can not be saved by the bell in the last round....

You need to get up and be able to continue otherwise the ref calls it....Bute was incoherent even when he got up and he was leaning as he stood up and stumbled back to his corner....

The ref pretty much took this away from Andrade who capitalized on a golden opportunity.

IMHO I wanted Bute to win especially after the Showtime commentators annoyed me with thier extreme bias towards Andrade but I think Andrade got hosed...

That fight could have easily been stopped while Bute was still on his feet, getting knocked around by Andrade, and not even attempting to punch back. Think of all the fights we've seen this year alone where a guy was taking less punishment and was still TKO'd.

I actually could care less who won. I guess I was rooting more for Andrade, but I feel Bute beat the 10 count. Could he continue? No, not in my opinion. But, I guess in the ref's opinion, he could, which is sadly all the matters. Too bad Andrade didn't fight the rest of the fight like he did the
    12th round

The Ref even stupidely admitted what everyone already knew..Except for a few nut huggers....If that doesn't prove this was a home town decision and robbery..Then some need to just ...WAKE THE **** UP and TAKE THE RED PILL!

I still can't believe the ref's comments after the fight. As if things weren't bad enough, he made it a lot worse.
