Steve Forbes To replace Alfonso Gomez VS Jessie Vargas...

what happened to gomez?

 

Back injury in training, I am a Gomez fan and wanted to see what he would've done against Vargas.

 

I like it. Forbes has been staying busy with Canelo, so it'll be interesting.

Gomez fan as well, sad he won't be on the card.

 

Forbes is done, would have liked to see that kid that Morales beat for the WBC, Cano, take the fight instead.

 

Forbes best days are beyond him now...Dont see him winning this fight...I want to see what Vargas brings to the tables anyways so I'm not to mad about the match up.

 

I would have rather seen the contender but still not a bad match. Forbes doesnt have much left though.

 

2pounds gone cause problems for sure but win he will not. i like forbes as a better fighter then gomez anyways.

 

doesn't forbes live in vegas and at times train at floyd's gym...surely these 2 know each other and have sparred against one another.

is floyd setting up his own inhouse/he already have a winner fight?

Not much of a step down from Gomez, really. Stevie's smaller and hasn't competed in almost a year but otherwise he really isn't a step down in quality at all.

Vargas needs a step up after that terrible fight he had on the last Floyd undercard.
