Starts at 14 minutes in, steve who is chisora's manager and who helped the sauerland brothers fill the undercard for groves cox say's there working on a wbss for heavyweights next year. Says the money on offer is out of this world and suspects that's why there's lot of heavy's avoiding eachover at the minute.

You can expect if this is true, %that Joshoua and Wilder won't participate.

I would be more excited if they do a WBSS. At LHW

If this is true, is this why Wilder and Joshua have been delaying a unification?

Of all the weights tho who ever asked for HW? Probably makes most business sense because Joshua alone will draw tons of attention to it, but there's only really 1 fight ppl wanna see and that's Wilder v Joshua.

LHW or 126lbs would be a lot better

This makes sense, lot of money will be involved for heavyweights.
They will start at the end of next year most likely so it doesn't overlap with the current WBSS.

This guarantees Wilder fighting no hopers until end of 2018 so he can enter it as an undefeated 'hw champ'.

I can imagine Wilder picking the absolute easiest opponent for the quarter-finals but after that he can't choose his opponent, who in addition will also get a real training camp :eek::eek::eek::eek: Wilder is screwed.

There's no way Wilder takes part in this tournament, he would have to fight ranked contenders for a start.

I'd much rather 126/130, 147 or 175 in truth. With all the money currently at HW, and everybody and their mums lining up for a shot at Hearn's cash cow I just think there will be no shortage of top fighters passing up the opportunity, especially considering two of the top five are currently serving bans from various sanctioning bodies. Assuming Joshua joins I can easily see Wilder declining due to the fact that he'll have to fight risky and competitive opponents at the QF and SF stage before getting that lucrative Joshua fight. Why fight in the tournament when he can just continue his WBC endorsed MO; hold the belt hostage for another 12 months and use it as a bargaining chip to guarantee a fight with the winner?

I honestly think we're more likely to see an undisputed HW champion by the end of 2018 without a WBSS.

160 or 175 should be the ones to pair this up with.

Heavyweight is the best division IMO. I'd be fine if they had two WBSS at heavyweight ;)

Haha seriously though Thatd be great if the next WBSS 2018 Heavy and light heavy :) Boxing is doing great things!

That's what my stance is lol.

Heck, run 2 at a time, then when enough are covered, start the rotation again.

These kinds of tournaments are way more appealing to fans who would enjoy boxing but have no time or desire to follow the political maze of what fighter is champ or contender for what ABC org's belt. Make it easier to be a fan of a sport, and they'll get more of them.

Neither AJ or Wilder will participate meaning this is pointless. AJ won't as Hearn will not relinquish any control over his main asset, and Wilder won't as he's a feather-hearted, bird-brained, flamingo legged fraud. Ortiz v Potevkin will be good when they both fail a drugs test.

The pot for cruiserweights is 50 $mil?
It will be 4 times that for heavies, Hearn will make every Joshua fight a PPV on Sky including the finals which will break all records.
    AJ will be in it.
