He only gave Anto Cacace 3 rounds at the point of the stoppage.

    Genuinely insane scoring

Should we be really be shocked though?

Time and time again, we see fights where each of the fighters appear to have a judge boxed off from the outset. Any close round, or even not so close, goes to that fighter and the result is should they be (well) beaten, the cards will show it close, or split, so that in a few months time when their rebuild is complete their promoter (and it could be any of them) can roll out the old: 'You know many people thought he won that fight' or similar.... If Woods had made it to the final bell, that card would've helped sell a rematch or Leigh Wood 2.0 or however it would be spun. Of course this is not to say that anything disreputable has taken place. Heaven forfend.

That’s absolutely mental. Wood won 2 rounds at best.

Regardless of how the fight was going, a promoter shouldn't be putting pressure on a judge.

Why? There needs to be more demand for better officiating with more integrity. It's an old boys club.

The obvious conundrum here is that the same names appear all the time, ostensibly in the back pocket of one promoter one week and then another the next.

I make no accusations, but one wonders how Marcus McDonnell, Howard Foster, Ian John-Lewis, and so on, have (or did) made a consistent living from boxing.
