Steve Kim heard that Floyd-Ortiz got only 850k PPV buys

Which is complete bull****. Nobody release ANY top rank ppv numbers but Bob Arum. When an HBO ppv boxing exec or even CBS showtime which never ever cosigned on the Bob Fathers claims comes out then its official. Right now its just journalist who cant get a story trying to lay rumors to get the actual PPV sales.

 

Most off the time it is the promoters whom release the official PPv numbers.....even for HBO. But typically HBO can pin point PPV buys A LOT faster than SHO based on doing double or triple the PPV events that SHO does annually. The official numbers will come out eventually like the Pac vs Mosley fight did....it just might take a little more time....I'm not sure what is taking so long this time since its HBO.

For anyone who's been paying attention Steve Kim and Doug Fisher are ridiculously biased and hate Mayweather with a passion.

They rose to some sort of prominence b/c they hitched themselves to the SoCal scene and openly admitted to favoring their fighters b/c those were the only fighters they had access to and depended on them. Margarito was the flavor back then, so they wholeheartedly followed Arum's campaign of making Margarito into a some sort of feared monster, and bashed Mayweather constantly for not facing him.

They've stuck to this formula, especially now that Mayweather has beaten a big name of the SoCal scene.

 

No official numbers from HBO and USADA.
