    Yeah saw this in the GF last night, Absolutlely disgusting stuff from Kim.

    Whatever people think of Barker's display he was troubling a top level operator, bludgeoned the nose of him and took rounds off of him. A damn site more then former world champions who Kim probably talks to with a lot more respect..

    He did well, guys like Kim don't understand boxing enough to realize how hard it is to just throw punches when the other guy is so quick, powerful and accurate. Barker's effort was very good IMO considering the jump in levels..

    Steve Kim is a ****wit of a human being who likes to say "I'm hearing that..." when relating to boxing gossip. He has Twitter beefs all the time and loves the fact he has so many followers. Bottom line is he's a decent writer but most people think he's a ****ing ******.

    I can't see how anyone can criticize Barker's performance. He was given next to no chance, and ended up giving Martinez his hardest fight since he became a P4P entrant. Kim's talking a load of bollocks. Lost whatever credibility he had.

    Kim is an absolute disgrace the way he talks to fighters. He is totally over rated as a writer, the guy is an egomaniac. Barker, despite extreme provocation showed a lot of class in dealing with that gimp.

    Kim is a very respected and well travelled boxing writer,who has an opinion just like you.I too was appalled at how very ordinary Barker was in his fight with Sergio.
    I would be shocked if Barker had another opportunity on HBO or any major American TV network after his "effort" against Martinez.

    Mate, you've clearly only ever seen him fight once, in a bout vs one of the top pound for pound fighters in the world he was clearly way, way out of his league yet still won 3-5 rounds, frustrating the champion and popping his nose and giving him his most challenging fight in a while.

    How appallingly average :roll:
