And then you see 2 points taken off in one fight :-(

I just find it hard to understand a guy comes to your backyard to give you a shot, and that's how he get treated in the ring by a ref from D.C.

I agree with Smoger 110%. I think most would agree with him but for those who don't, they should disrespect the man for being honest and speaking his mind.

Can't say I can recall an incident like that but I remember Hagler was pushing Hamsho off in the rematch and got a pretty stern warning..think from Mercante.
He stopped the action momentarily, so I guess if he was willing to do that he would have eventually been willing to take a point off.
In fact I don't think Mercante liked pushing, I can vaguely recall him doing the pushing motion in a couple of fighter.

Definitely have read some accounts where a boxer was penalized for pushing ...but without actually seeing it you can't really say if it was a similar situation...could have been for pushing a guy on to the canvas or the reporter might have misunderstood what the actual deduction was for.

I don't think I've ever seen such blatant pushing before.

And the 2nd point was for hitting on the break I think.

What fight are you talking about? Khan never got a warning for hitting on the break and he never got a point deduction for hitting on the break. Khan vs Peterson is the topic of discussion kid.

Respect Smoger and his opinion, but the ref told him to stop.. and he continued.. his fault.
