He works exclusively on the East Coast, and is often featured as the referee in world title or major fights taking place at East Coast venues. When Smoger is not refereeing fights, he serves as a Municipal Court Judge in Atlantic City, as well as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Air Force Reserves. In boxing circles, Smoger is known as being one of the most lenient referees in the sport. This liberal attitude often results in exciting fights as the action is only broken up when it is absolutely necessary. :huh If this is true does that mean that Smoger won't be a ref for a fight that could turn out to be the best action fight of the year IF he were to be the actual ref of that fight??? yeah i just checked on boxrec, it doesnt look like he reffed any fights on the west coast in his entire career, north dakota being the closes. Hes got quite a few fights outside of the U.S surprisingly, whats he got against the west side?

No he has no tattoos he's a young guy who likes guys to fight ... he's hispanic so he should have some respect for the effort and not cut these guys short.
thanks i never looked up refs on boxrec before Damn he really does stick to the east coast..That pretty much blows...Hopefully we can get someone like him though for Cotto vs Marg. What you guys think about Frank Cappuchino? I think that guy is freaking awesome.
