Steve Smoger or Kenny Bayless?

Bayless always has his arse in the way

 

Bayless interrupts the action waaayyy too ****ing much. Don't know why anyone would choose him over Double SS.

 

Smoger Bayless did a horrible job in the PBF-Mosley fight.

 

Yup. If you're a boxing fan and actually like to see guys box.. then there's no comparison between the two. It's Steve Smoger over Kenny Bayless all day. :deal

 

Bayless comes from a long line of world class refs who interrupt the action every 15 seconds; Richard Steele, Joe Cortez, and now Kenny Bayless holds that proud mantle.

 

After reading the comments from you and Pimp, I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who sees it that way.

Yup, you could tell he was way too excited to be refing such a big fight. Unprofessional.

i really haven't noticed bayless interrupting much.

but i love how smoger lets fighters break out of the clinch themselves.

 

Both are quality refs, but Bayless in my book gets a B+ , While double SS is an A+ ref.....A ref should be like a good to great O-line .....You know they're doing their job right when you don't notice them until they F up....With Smogger that's few and far in between.....Bayless just interrupst the flow of a fight way too much for my liking, but in a BIG fight both are your top two choices, but Smoger would be my top choice.

My only negative complaint about Smoger is that he doesn't ref fights ouside of the East Coast. Question for anyone to answer "Did Smoger always do this"?

Doesn't he do fights in Texas too? He just doesn't have a license to officiate in the West Coast IIRC.

I'm not sure really...The reason why I asked is because for the Cotto Margarito fight back in Vegas. His name came up to ref, but there was a quote saying Smoger doesn't fight outside of East Coast.
