Can anyone who watched The Prizefighter tournament last night fathom why Steve Spartacus gave such a poor showing? Admittedly he was coming in off a three fight losing streak but he's been a good domestic operator over the years and not so long ago nearly went 12 with Oakey.

Could he be shot, because he looked like he had nothing in the tank last night? Or could it simply be that he was caught cold? Seemed an odd performance to me, like he couldn't get off. Which, again, may suggest he's shot.

    Thoughts people.

My bird thought that coming in wearing the armour tired him out before the fight.

He's on a tough losing streak right now. At 32 years old this is usually a clear sign.

His style has always made for tough fights so it does not really surprise me to see a rapid decline.

The KO defeat to Danny McIntosh was pretty startling and signified the end for me. It looked like a changing of the guard in this division domestically, with Cleverly beating Oakey too.

I think he tried to give it one last throw of the dice, Prizefighter is a good place to do that...the gamble didn't pay off. He was against a guy that was hungry and that showed his decline.

yeah steves shot imo, he's lost the definition he once had and i think is less and less prepared for fights as he looks slow. i think he should drop down to some hall venue fights or just hang em up.

Sparticus looked all in last night, but it was a rabbit punch that put him down

i dunno we use the word shot very liberally here.

the mcintosh fight was a close fight and a kinda bad stoppage for me in my oh most humble opinion. and at one point he looked to turn the fight and had mcintosh in serious trouble. so i doubt he is incapable of winning.

also lets remember he was never a fast starter, he usually picked up the pace later in the rounds. and in a 3 round format against a cagey strong stubbs he caught him early. simple as.

if them 2 met 4 years ago and stubbs was as motivated i wouldnt be surprised that stubbs coudl stop him

Iv never ever thought that much of Spartacus. I thought his career was done quite some time ago. Alot of glitz because of his name but not alot of substance.

Spartacus has done a good job in and out of the ring. I was there last night and I think that he will now call it a day.

    Adios.
