I remember a lot of hype surrounding this kid approximately 12 months ago. He had an upset defeat and I ain't heard of him since. According to boxrec he ain't fought for a year. Has he retired or can he not be arsed?

Turns out he was actually Super bad. I'd say its more to do with that than the other two reasons.

Dominic Ingle's advice was quality that night.

Lose this round and your career is over, son.

Instead of him springing up off the stool he just kinda stood there and let the other guy pound him for the last round :patsch

Ahh, only Fat Mick could have ****ed up that ITV deal like he did. What gets me is his first few shows on ITV4 were pretty good, but around the time he realised ITV had no intention of paying extra for Froch's fights he must ahve thought "**** those ****ers" and reeled out absolute piles of **** in his last 6 months. O'Donnell/Daws/Barker v afrobum, a token Tyson Fury v eurobum fight, Phil Fury, Angel McKenzie and the likes of Steve Barnes and other 'prospects' who were shown up by journeymen within 2 fights.

you want to study your boxing a bit more, for one that lad was only 18, and having hard fights, phill fury who you mention is 7-0 and has outlasted the other decorated amateurs of hennessys also only 18, and just maybe they were not protected or fighting boxers 2 weight divisions below them, if barns wasent a featherweight he could give jeffries a stone and punch him senseless, as could fury.;):good

I will never forget Ingle's words at the end of the 3rd when he knew the kid was tired and getting beat
'This is what happens when you go camping with your dad and don't eat for 3 days'

    Seriously?

bumping an ancient thread, any word on this kid at all? he's still so young he could maybe go the unlicensed route for a bit then go back to being a pro.
