Stevens offered 300k and still won't fight

I thought the sarcasm was too thick for my post to be mistaken as genuine but I guess I was wrong.

 

So lets say that GGG gets a raise and even makes 400K then 300K is a more than fair offer to Stevens. Stevens should take this fight he won't get that type of money against anyone else.

 

Stevens isn't exactly in any position to turn this down.

 

It is easy to call someone out, much tougher to get in the ring and back it up. this will happen often with GGG as long as he stay at 160. If he put himself out there for 168 fighters like Ward, Kovalev,Hopkins,Stevenson. Those guys are alittle bigger than him and may not be so scared to fight him.

 

Who the hell could do worse job with him than his current handlers?
Most exciting fighter of the business who leaves only opponents cold, gets payed $350k/€262k for headlining his third/fourth(?) HBO broadcast??? Does that make any sense?

Since Gennady's low purses are being used to calibrate his opponents sallaries, I'd say they are connect.
..oh, I get it:
Anatomy of a scam; A) pay minimum to your fighter B) use that fact to do the same to his opponents C) laugh your ass off on the way to bank. D) repeat and make it as the standard protocol.

Looks like N'Dam and Soliman are ready to step in if Stevens is unwilling. Both would make for a better fight than Mora.

 

I really dont see stevens standing much of a chance against GGG. I dont think he has the movement to give GGG any real problems. I feel like, sooner or later GGG would bomb stevens out.

You come back after 2 days shilling this weak tiresome stuff. But the angle of attack was always obvious, since GGG is not maximizing his market value, neither is Stevens if he takes the offer. 1. Show me the last fringe contender with 0 top ten win and 3 losses (some very bad ones) making 300k vs any champ, underpaid or not.
2. Did you process those Quilln numbers yet? I'd hope so, but clearly no pennies dropped (hey, I can pretend to be British). Here: undefeated #1 GBP , #1 American contender accepted 150k for his first title shot, with a much superior resume. Undefeated = no losses, much less bad one. A dominant win over Brinkley as opposed to dominant loss. 150k as the defacto A side of the promotion. Capiche?
3. A guy shouting his lungs out for the shot at GGG has no right to haggle on 10x+ what he made last.


Your sob story of HBO's mistreatment of GGG is icky stuff, real cringeworthy. 350k is far more than his career total pre HBO, so someone must be doing something right. There's also a thing called strategy, but you clearly wouldn't know much about this. Here it comes into play cause the guy is confident in his ability, not eager to cash out like these Stevens types. A guy like that will trade some short term gains for exposure (3, maybe 4 HBO dates a year). More intriguingly, this guy probably gives up some of his purse to sweeten the pot for chicken hearted challengers like Stevens, and his betters. Look: A-side undefeated champ GGG = 350k, midrange contender Macklin = 300k. When do you ever see a split like that? Never. What HBO had in mind is GGG = 500k, opponent = 150k, but opponents rather take 20k on NBC Sport.

 

If Stevens and GG fight right now they both lose.:deal

They have to be smart and milk this thing for a couple more fights.

There isn't a lot of money or good fights at 160..they don't want to make the same mistake Bradley and Alexander made.

After Quillan and Sergio there isn't much left..what if one of them gets KTFO before GG or Stevens could get to them?

If they meet 2 fights down the road they can both get paid.

 

GG is in a rush. He's 31 and his window is closing. If nobody wants to fight him, shouldn't he move up? That way he will have plenty of fights, and I don't have to read anymore fake ass Superman posts saying "everyone is ducking GG"!

It does not matter to these guys how much they might make in the future for fighting GGG because they are scared that they will get KO and then what will they make next. He is ruining people's careers, No one wants to lose to a guy who is on the way up.
Look at it like this, everyone wants to fight Floyd and partly for the big payday, but if you lose to Floyd, it's ok he is the very best you are supposed to lose. GGG is not that big yet,when he Knocks you out it like getting thrown off a cliff, after that it's by by HBO and back to Friday night fights,(if they will still take you)
