Well, if you ever get in one, you'll probably end up in jail then. Because the law sees it differently, unless you live in Canada of course.

Well check out M. Bison here.

Of course there's such a thing as excessive. If you can't tell when a fight is over and you've won then you're a moron.

People get caught up in the moment go too far and try to rationalise it afterwards that they were somehow still in danger when they clearly weren't.

I think I know more about the law then you do and you are always entitled to defend yourself. I assume you live in Florida which has that “Stand Your Ground” law.

I disagree regarding the Karmic justice. In prison, if somebody ****s with you, you have to beat the **** out of them. You have to show that you are a vicious animal and warrior.

I don’t play video games so I don’t know who M. Bison is but what I do know that when I got in a fight, I tried to leave the other person in a condition where he couldn’t retaliate.

Of course you do, but.... if its deemed excessive, then it you will be tried, and the burden of proof will fall to you and your lawyers to prove it wasn't. If you can't, then you can be charged with a crime. Yeah, I live in Florida, but not every state has Florida's laws, so that's irrelevant.

I disagree in part. There can be a such thing as excessive in a street fight. You have a scrap, and beat a man down, then you repeatedly stomp and pound him while he is incapacitated, that is excessive. In the prison system, it's different. You have to be an animal in there.

And now we have Prison Mike entering the conversation.

This thread has gone from tragedy to controversy and anger and back again all whilst speckled with nuggets of inadvertent comedy gold in the weirdest fashion.

 You may find it funny, but those with the misfortune to have experienced incarceration do not disagree with me. I'm just saying, say that inmate thought he was going to **** with Stevenson, he probably tried, and paid the price. If there's any Karma, it's likely on the one that started it.

I won’t disagree with you. It depends on what led to the fight.

I unfortunately have a fairly comprehensive understanding of the prison system due to friends and family being incarcerated and the films and documentaries on the worst examples aren't the experience most people have.

It's more than possible for people to keep their head down if they want to but the types of men who find themselves locked up often feel like they have something to prove to other men. I have friends who have both served time and in the armed forces and the genuinely tough ones have only needed to have a few fights in their lives. Usually with the bozos you talk about behaving like animals. Idiots like that don't tend to last very long in my experience.

All this testosterone fuelled warrior talk has got me amped up. Who wants a fight to the death over a carton of cigarettes and a jar of coffee?

I would but I don’t smoke or drink coffee.
