Time to put an age limit on fighters to protect them from themselves.

Stevenson should be weight cutting and fighting young prime fighters at 41 years of age when his body is breaking down naturally.

Saying that, he had debts which had to be paid for the actions which he committed in the past and got away with.

 

Ogh gosh there are tons of cases.... People go nuts and suicide themselves in NFL. Boxing is much safer because you are fighting 2-3 times per year as a boxer. NFL players have to do that every week.

I don't understand why everybody always feels the need to nanny other people.
How about you worry about your own self?

These are grown men who knew the risks and made their decision.


The sport doesn't need to be justified.

I say let people box, let them go through gender transition, even let them take heroin if they want.


Grown adults don't need a babysitter.

That being said I hope Adonis Stevenson recovers. Don't care what he did 20 years ago, that's not the issue right now.

People go into the sport knowing the risks. I know I'm preaching to the choir, but you can't ban something that people love and that participants understand the risks. Its also hypocritical and cowardly. The world is a big bad place. To ban something like this, while allowing much worse things to happen is nuts.

 

But in those sports isn't it more incidental contact to the head. The objective in boxing is to hit the opponents head with your fist's. I do fear for boxing's future, snow flakes will never give up the fight to ban it.

I'm doing nothing of the sort. I've been a long time vocal critic of Stevenson's cherry picking. I'm just pointing out that he has solid top 10 names on his resume, while people are crying and moaning about him feasting on cans.

 

I think it's interesting that he has a family at all. I wonder how a woman can hear about his past crimes and regardless of how he's acting now think 'Yes this is a guy I want to share my life and have children with.'

She'd have a better insight than anyone in how far (or not) he'd come since ruining so many lives as a younger man.
