It appears so. My memory of it was obviously foggy. Remembered Miranda taunting him to hit him in the body. Remember the KO happened right after but apparently my memory fabricated it being a body shot. My bad...
Do any of Mendy, Zuniga, Brinkley, Magee, or Andrade be competitive or stand a good chance to win in fights with Dawson, Cloud, Bellew, or Fonfara? The competition that Stevenson has fought in his last 4 fights are probably better than any 4 best opponents you could come up with that Bute has beaten in his entire career and it's likely not even close (unless I'm forgetting a couple big names, I would have to boxrec to confirm this as my bold opinion; Alejandro Berrio makes the list for Bute defo). Stevenson last 4 opponents being slightly underrated. Contrarily, it's like a flashback to 2009/2010 and Bute's career opposition is being overrated in this thread.
Only possible in boxing, earn titleshot by losing your last fight.won only one in last three. Stevenson should be embarrased,Gladly we have Kovale and Hopkins fighting.winner of that fight is number 1.maybe Stevenson someday wants to be remembered as number 1.outside of canada
I guess we should give Bute some credit for this if it happens, even if it may be him cashing out. Although, that idea is counter to his training with Roach. Again, Stevenson looking bad. Not sure that Bute doesn't stand a chance, but based on his recent form, he'd be a prohibitive dog. Let's see what Roach can do with him.
He's about the only guy who had an easy night with Sakio Bika, which tells me he wasn't always as fragile as he currently is. He also did better against Glen Johnson than Fonfara. Bute's opposition generally gets a little underrated overall these days. He'd taken out enough of the B-competition (and commonly, in easier fashion than his divisional rivals) to earn his place as a top 5 SMW. Froch annihilating him doesn't undo that.
A dodgy referee and an extra few seconds, for sure. Count it as a loss, if you'd like. Bute took him apart in the rematch. My point still stands that, even without an A-level win, Bute did enough against the B fighters at the weight to have justified his position as a world-class, top 5 fighter there. He'd earned the big fights at 168.
Bute used to be the boxing King of Quebec. Froch reduced him to a jester, and afetr Stevenson KO's him he will be totally irrelevant. Bute has a lot to protect in this fight.
So in other words you have nothing substantial to say that refutes my statement, and you just resort to calling me an *******? Go cry some more :|:|:|
