If Bute is something like 10-1 for this fight.
I'm lumping on.. Lucian is back baby.

Freddie Roach saved Cotto's career and he can do the same with King Bute.

We the Bute fans will return to claim our SMW dominance.

I called you an ******* because you called me a fool. Its not that I didn't have anything substantial to say, I just didn't have the energy to say it last night, I didn't feel like coming up with anything better. But if you want it here you go...
Adonis Stevenson is obviously aware of his chin issues and his limited boxing skills which is basically a straight left and an awkward stance, so he ducked Kovalev and then ducked Hopkins, because he is a ***** who wants to milk his 15 minutes of fame for a few more matches before being KO'd or exposed. Whether you want to admit it or not Bute is a very skilled talented boxer who could give Adonis fits, and yes as Serge pointed out for me has many highlight reel KO's, Bute is obviously not the fighter he once was but there is reason to believe that based on the last round of the Pascal fight, and now working with Roach he may come into this with renewed confidence.

For the record Andrade didn't KO him he was exhausted, but he definitely KO'd Andrade, I'm not that big a fan of Bute, I loved seeing Froch destroy him, which I predicted he would even though everyone was writing Carl off, just like they're doing with Lucien now.

I hate Adonis Stevenson for what he's done in his personal life he's a piece of ****, so I will kneejerk root for him to be beaten everytime he steps in the ring, Boone stopped him, Bellew dropped him and wasn't given credit for it, Fonfara dropped and if he was a better fighter he could have finished him, so if Bute can get his mental **** together I think he has as good a chance as any to stop Adonis.

I think you are giving Stevenson way too much credit if you are writing off Bute here.

His recent run is somewhat of a mirage. If Dawson had an iron chin, Stevenson would have about as much chance of outpointing him as Prescott did of Khan if he had one.

Cloud had just come of an 'Alien Abduction' from Hopkins and before that likely knew he lost to Campillo. Bellew seemed to intimidated by Stevenson's power. Those two fought in a way reminiscent of Narvaez and Nishioka's none performances against Donaire.

My thinking of Stevenson not being that good, didn't stem from him being dropped by Fonfara either. This is what I said on fight week:

Yes, Bute like Cloud may be at an all time low in terms of confidence, however, working with Roach and confidence gained from his good 12th round with Pascal (what he claimed was the real Bute and was disappointed he didn't fight like that the whole fight), coupled with the determination that he really is in the last chance saloon, make him a real threat here (baring in mind Stevenson's confidence may be shook after his scare against Fonfara).

    WTF? How is this acceptable?

Pascal a) just beat him, b) in a final WBC eliminator, no less, and c) is just as big a name in Canada as Bute and with his greater amount of recent success you have to figure Stevenson vs. Pascal would be an even bigger event than Stevenson vs. Bute could, so that flimsy excuse flies out the window...

Good fight for Stevenson if it happens but its not a good fight, Bute is probably done. His last 3 fights he's been run over by Froch, beaten clearly by Pascal and struggled with Grachev.

Bute is 34 and looking like a pretty faded fighter lately. He's had 1 fight in almost 2 years and by fight time will have won one fight in 3 years.

At the beginning of this year Stevenson came in as the 175 champ and there were fights with Kovalev, Hopkins, and Pascal out there. He's ended up with Fonfara and Bute(if it happens). Pretty disappointing year for Stevenson.

Well the OP does state that it won't be announced until after Beterbiev vs. Cloud, but yeah, that does create a pretty convenient out if they don't announce it.

"Whoops, they changed their minds :D"

    :yep

Everything else you said was good and fine...

But do you realize how big of a laughable stretch all the way around this paragraph I have left quoted is???

Adonis Stevenson and Danny Garcia have had two of the most disappointing 2014's after the great success they had in 2013... I'll say Mikey Garcia as well (fought in January, inactive since with a lawsuit vs. Top Rank and doesn't seem to be getting anywhere with that anytime soon).

As for your middle stanza; dead on. 34 years old. 1 win in 3 years, a struggle and razor close win against Denis Grachev of all...

Disappointing for us fans, considering how hot LHW looked in the beginning of 2014.

I'd say it's pretty much according to plan for Stevenson, et al.

This is definitely a winnable fight for Bute. Easy money to make since Bute will likely be the underdog.

I expect Stevenson will close the show early before he runs out of gas.

Put me down for a Stevenson TKO by round 6
