Well, no, they would not be on the same schedule because fighting Fonfara is not the same as fighting Jean Pascal.

Pascal is a top-5 LHW, whereas Fonfara is a cab driver that Stevenson has already beaten. Why can't Adonis fight a top contender? Why fight so many cabbies in a row?

Kovalev-Pascal is signed already so it was obvisou no Stevenson-Kovalev.

Eh...Not the worst rematch in the world to take. Fonfara's still in the Top 10, and he did drop Stevenson and close the gap quite a bit over the second half of the fight after a horrible start. If Fonfara avoids taking a trip to the mat in the early rounds, he might actually be able to improve upon his previous showing.

Besides, we all know Adonis isn't going to face anyone truly dangerous before he possibly takes the Kovalev...so we might as well watch him face someone like Fonfara, rather than another Sukhotsky.

Not a horrible rematch but not one that I think very many people are pushing for.

Plenty of guys Stevenson could have faced instead-Hopkins and Braehmer would be much preferable.

Even guys like Chillemba, Campillo, Beterbiev, and Alvarez would be preferable since he's already beaten Fonfara once.

There's no gaurantee Stevenson faces the Kovalev-Pascal winner next if he beats Fonfara again. Mohammedi stepped aside for the Kovalev-Pascal fight to happen, who says he does it again.

Actually, if Stevenson is going to fight fights people aren't demanding to see he may as well try to face Mohammedi and get him out of the way so he can face the Kovalev-Pascal winner next.

All those are better fights than Fonfara, I mean Fonfara is not bad but they just fought and it's not like he's gonna be that much better this time.

I'm actually happy about this, I think Fonfara came into the first fight a defeated man with no confidence that he could win, but he took Adonis' power well and dropped him, maybe if he can get his head into actually believing he has a chance this time and come in with a decent strategy, we could possibly have the a new Polish LHW world champion, he can improve his game plan, Adonis has only one, his left hand. Still its a b**** move on Adonis' part as always.
