Here's the current Top 10 for LH, according to TBRB:

    1. Kovalev
    2. Hopkins
    3. Pascal
    4. Fonfara
    5. Braehmer
    6. Alvarez
    7. Chilemba
    8. Campillo
    9. Beterbiev
    10. Karpency

Adonis is a tool of mythological proportions, but the options in the Top 10 for Stevenson to fight seem somewhat limited. Alvarez and Beterbiev fall under the same promotional stable as the champ, and aren't likely to be matched against him until they gain a higher profile. Karpency's limited, Campillo's past his best, and Chilemba isn't that far removed from a loss to Stevenson victim Tony Bellew. Hopkins would be a good choice, but has gone on record as stating that he wants GGG for his final fight (crazy *******). Pascal's about to face Kovalev...

And that leaves Fonfara- who did manage to drop Stevenson and made it interesting at the end.

It's not a great fight, but given what's out there, it could be a lot worse.

We want to see Stevenson agains the winner of Pascal vs Kovalev which is the biggest fight of the division. So Stevenson just need to fight a bum so we can finaly see that fight.

Fonfara is overrated. Stevenson will humiliate him in the rematch.

If this nonsense happens, I will not watch it. In fact, I won't watch Adonis ever again unless he fights Kovalev.

Ok. I really am anti Stevenson, but I don't think this is as bad as people make it out to be.
It's probably the last time he's going to leave the ring with his belt, cause he will either be stripped or lose the next fight.
So a relative gimme isn't that bad, and certainly not if that gimme gave him hell in their previous bout.

Much as I dislike Stevenson his options are kinda limited here. Outside the top few names who are either fighting each other or are with GYM there's very few left who haven't already been beaten by Kovalev or Stevenson.

Campillo, Braehmer, Chilemba perhaps, but none of them are really significantly better than Fonfara. Braehmer would be my pick but the likelihood of him leaving the fatherland is negligable. After that I'd probably pick Campillo as the guy with the best chance of outboxing Stevenson, though there's a fair chance of him getting blasted out.

Fonfara is a Haymon fighter too. This is just par for the course for this douche outfit.

The media needs to come down harder on these 'haymon' fighters. Stop referring to Stevenson as 'the linear champion', I can't remember a time in boxing when the lineal title was being degraded as much as this in general. Drop him below Kovalev in all the rankings. Then maybe he'll come around to fighting him!

First fight was surprisingly competitive. I am okay as long as the winner fights Kovalev v Pascal winner.

I don't get the negativity, was the first fight easy for Stevenson?. It looks as though many losers here are forgetting that the first fight was actually competitive.

The only person you mentioned that is in a different tier than Fonfara is B-hop. Maybe Alvarez too?

Is Fonfara II lazy match-making, and would fight fans like to see Stevenson against another top 10 contender? Sure.

But let's not act like this is Salka outrageous. Not even a huge Stevenson fan, Kovalev > Stevenson....just could be a lot worse.
